Presenting a different take on local seafood zi char that Singaporeans are accustomed to, Port Weld Seafood offers dishes that are inspired by home – that is, the home of founder Mr Lim Teik Soon. Having spent his childhood in a fishing village, Mr Lim remembers how his mother, who sold seafood, would use homemade mussel stock in her cooking. Inspired to share the flavours that he grew up with, Mr Lim created a menu specialising in seafood and minced pork porridge, and white bee hoon. Featuring fresh prawns, crabs, clams and crayfish, these homely delicacies are hearty and nourishing, crafted with a soup base that is meticulously stewed from seafood and chicken bones.
